Some comments one here have become way too heated and are turning into personal attacks. I'm closing the comments for now. If you have any questions about this game please use the forums. However, any personal attacks of this nature will not be tolerated.

King Dedede is the villain of some the the Kirby games, but on the scale of 1 to 10 on the evilness scale his is a 1 ;)

The SNES version is a little cleaner (not the GBA & PS1 ports), but it still has some stuff like the magic elements (summoning, black/white magic). Also it does not have the improvements that the DS version has.

I would also like to add that magic seems to be drawn from The Fade which is basically a realm where humans and elfs go when they sleep. :)

Sorry you did not like the game Link. I found the Sonic RPG (Sonic Chronicles) the worst Bioware game. But to each his own.

Blood magic is the closest thing I can recall at the moment that is anything like real life occult practices (not that I am an expert on such things). Basically it is the evil magic of the Dragon Age world which uses people's blood (I think it is learned from demons). During the game you will run into blood magic/mages. You can also learn it, but don't have to. The skills you can get in the paid DLC Warden's Keep are technically blood magic as well (even though every class can learn it). I'm not sure if you can skip those or not (you find a potion you can drink and I choose for my character to drink it).

Blood magic is almost always shown as evil in the game. (besides the mentioning that Grey Wardens in the past have used it to fight darkspawn).

HI. I'm not sure what you mean by occult. There are no occult symbols in the game that I am know of. The game does deal with gods, monsters, magic and demons like some RPGs and parts of the story demons are possessing people (please see the spiritual content section of my review for details). :)
