I had gotten the youtube video from my gals at Smart Girl Politics just before the Tea Party and started emailing and posting it to my friends and family because of the true spirit of Susan, and the wonderful story of her 'coming out'. Such an amazing voice; all the folks that I have sent the video to or posted it to have said they broke down in tears while watching it, even the men! Tuning into Glenn's show yesterday and seeing the same video was amazing! Good for Glenn for getting this video some viewing! I had posted on Youtube, where I hope she views all the wonderful feedback (very few idiots have posted thankfully and we usually vote them off the board anyway). She deserves all the praise and blessings in the future. She's the real deal! And someone posted about Paul Potts, another 'real deal'.
There's that famously overused word people lob out without knowledge of it's meaning. Please go look up Fascism and then ask yourself.. are you really wanting a government that won't allow that word to be used or any other words you want to throw out? The problem with liberals is they are so short sighted when leading their merry band of pitchfork mobs out to "stick it to the man", and don't realize, what happens next? You'll all turn on eachother with those same pitchforks. Good luck to ya! In the meantime, I'm fighting for your freedom to call me a fascist, regardless of how silly that is, I believe that you have the right to call me names and I have the right to laugh at you. Take care...
Now see.. you have made my day! Humor in the face of terror! Thank you Greg, seriously, you've made my day! =)
GO TEXAS! Really powerful message, and the Oregon folks are with you all that day! We're gearing up with cameras and shirts, signs and the power. The Culpeppar flag is one of our oldest and most exceptional respresentations of our rights and freedoms. If this makes me a part of a "militia" then so be it. I'm an American who believes in Liberty from Tyrany. Stand up America and FIGHT! This is our land, from sea to shining sea and everything in between. Get to a tea party and do the right thing, then in 2010, vote out your bad leaders and let our voices be heard! Don't get fooled again!
There is a laundry list of things you can do as an individual without looking to someone else to do it for you. You just have to make the commitment to do things 1 at a time and keep moving forward.
-Get some bumper stickers (I bet that list of Militia paraphenalia will soon have our insignia on the watch list, what do you want to bet) and put them on the back of you car with the website. More and more ppl are getting things printed up into T-Shirts and such.
Write your Reps and your Senators, over and over. Type one letter up, keep it simple, and get copies made, and send them or email them every week. They have to start paying attention at some point.
And, thank you for your service, and to the many others out there that are currently serving, like my brother in the NAVY! We love you all and we're with you 100%!
-Get involved with your local representatives and find out how you can get your voice heard from the bottom up.
-There are local community leaders that may surprise you by saying they already know about the 912 project, and want to represent those while they do their jobs.
-Vote, and stay aware of issues and bills going on in your State and community.
-If you see a soldier, go up and shake his hand and say 'Thank you', and tell them about the 912Project.
-If you see or know of a business that has done something above and beyond for people in the community, write them and say 'Thank you' and share with them that you are part of this movement.
-When you go to church, engage your Pastor and tell him (or her) about this and ask to set up some talks before or after church talking about this, it's not political only.
-Find out who your new neighbor is and offer to help them with projects and be available for them. Get to know them. Don't be pushy about your politics but over time, let them know they are not alone!
I agree! I believe in my heart this is an effort to divide and conquer the American people by working us all up into a fight between ourselves! We cannot afford to point fingers at eachother, but rather the Government. We have to keep ourselves above the fray and above the pandering to hate and move forward. Part of this whole movement is to come together, and forget the lines of division, and work with eachother. The day is going to come where we're all going to have to TRUST eachother regardless of Political beliefs and opposition. We don't need a leader for this, all of us individually should be looking at our daily lives and think about what we can do to live the principles and values and pass them on to our friends and family.
If this wasn't so scary it would be considered comedy at it's height. Never before have I seen anything like this love affair with Socialistic principles; it's like Paris Hilton woke up one day and told Hollywood, "Hey... Communism is hot!" and overnight Hollywood was scrambling to be good comrades with their new Saks 5th Avenue Commie gear (have you all seen that mess of commericalized crap yet?) Hollywood and the media are in love with themselves, hell bent on taking this country down the wrong path. And do you think any one of those self-centered asshats would help you change a tire if you needed help? Hell no. Stop listening to these air heads like Kutcher, who's had about as much life-experience as my gold fish. Have we really gotten this spoiled to forget what our grandparents and ancesters had to go through to be free? How many thousands died in the Revolution, the Civil War, WW I and II only to have it pissed away by the likes of Cameron Diaz? Benjamin Franklin would slap that silly smile off her face if he was alive today.
