I admit that I can't stand to listen to Michael Savage (something about his voice, just can't stand it), but the man isn't dangerous. I mean, seriously, he's just a guy on the radio. Savage has said since this came out that he didn't really have much of an interest in visiting England anyway, but it really disappoints me to see a major player in the Western world treat a man like this when all he has done is share his opinion. I know that England can't hold a candle to the freedom of speech rights that we have here in America, but maybe they should think about working on that. They should be trying to set a good example for the rest of the world.

I'm really proud of him for standing up and asking an honest question and then being patient while he got attacked. I mean, wow...and did Frank ever answer the question. I don't think he did...but sometimes I get so distracted laughing at the way he talks that I miss things.

This was kind of painful to watch, but it was also completely fantastic!

Well, that's just unnecessary.

I'm afraid that we're going to regret showing these people weakness. Because that's what they see moves like this as, not kindness, not "doing the right thing", just weakness.

Alright so I already posted a list of ten things that I would like to see happen, but I've been thinking about our education system and have an idea (though probably not a very good one) about how we can help it. I'm only a couple of years out of high school and currently attending college and I know very well that the whole thing is a disaster. So if the country insists on having government run education then, instead of having the government send the money to the schools based on how many students there are, why don't they send money directly to the parents and then the parents can decide what school is best for their child. That way the schools have to compete for the money, therefore making everyone better off.

1. Term limits for every elected/appointed government official!
2. No taxpayer money for special interests, and no special interest money for political candidates.
3. No lobbyists.
4. No money...no spending.
5. Enforce the laws already in place for everyone! If an elected/appointed official is found to have broken a law they are automatically impeached.
6. Mandatory waiting periods for every bill, executive order, etc.
7. Restrictions on the length of bills and what can be added to a bill.
8. Severely limit or abolish welfare programs.
9. Withdraw from the United Nations.
10. Streamline the tax system. A lot.

I'm not sure why Notre Dame would ever invite someone to speak who is so opposed to everything they, as Catholics, believe. In any case, I have to say to BenGleck that the people in South Bend, Indiana and especially those associated with Notre Dame are some of the kindest people that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I was there with the marching band from my own university and the people there went above and beyond making sure that we felt welcome. Something that isn't very common among college marching bands and football in general.
