I love how Damon equates the nobility of being an actor (I don't do it for the money) with being a teacher. Incentive is such a foreign concept to this guy, he has no business lecturing anyone.

Billy Elliot would not be on Broadway if it weren't for the gay angle. Margaret Thatcher is demonized in this play as well.

And his point still stands; a very high percentage of the plays and/or musicals that are lauded by the Broadway community are not financially successful.

Do you differentiate between politics and outlook on life? Because politics is how we vote based on morals and what we value as important. This is also very similar to how we consume art. Art, at it's essence being an expression of life designed to evoke an emotional response. So if your worldview is conservative then it stands to logic that you would be entertained by music such as this.

The great thing about this album is that it is entertainment from a largely conservative viewpoint, but it is not overtly saying "vote for X".

The Horse and His Boy has been my favorite story of the Narnia books. But I have maintained that it will never get made in to a Hollywood movie. If for no other reason than all of the comments made about how special a person with "fair skin tone" is. I really don't think that Hollywood producers can bastardize the book to the point where they feel comfortable putting it on screen.

On a side note: Gary Oldman's character in The Book of Eli reminded me of the monkey in The Last Battle. Oldman wanted to use the scripture to control people, the same way the Monkey used his fake Aslan to get what he wanted.

Next can we have a list of promises that Obama has kept? Or legislative success he's had that have had more of a destructive effect on this country than he said they would?

I didn't vote for this guy, so I'm happy if he doesn't keep his promises. I'm more worried about the things he gave lip service to that convinced so many people that he was good for the USA. And I guess this list hit on a few of those like promising "transparency", reducing earmarks and not allowing lobbyists to work for him.

That is a pic from early in the rally. Towards the middle/end of the rally there would be no grass visible on the left side. Just saying.

Way to make the same mistake she did. A person becomes a Christian through a personal relationship with Christ. Not through judging the piety or or agreeing with the actions of other Christians.

Seriously? If she was really a Christian then she would understand that one of the basic premises of Christianity is that humans are innately flawed. Thus we need: redemption, forgiveness etc, obtained through a personal relationship with Christ.

Saying that she is 'quitting Christianity' like it is some sort of club says to me that she was only there for the cool decoder ring.
