From The God's Own Country : Domestic jobs for British workers. Can we ever become a global community?

The editor of an Indian newspaper wrote an article stating that he has the answer to American's troubles - granting visas to 2 million Indians/Chinese/Koreans who will work hard, buy up those subprime houses and spend the money. As Thomas Friedman points out in his op-ed article (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/11/opinion/11fried... there is some truth to it!

Week 1 : Google Map permeating the whole web ?

Google maps can be used in other interesting ways as well. Case in point, the famous (or infamous) "Proposition 8" in California, which basically nullified same-sex marriages as official marriages. The website, http://www.eightmaps.com, shows the locations of people who donated to pass it (fyi campaign donorships are public info)

lol nice, this reminds of the many songs that use the same chords as Pachelbel's Canon in D. There was a comedian on youtube about that too. but i guess there are a limited number of chords vs the millions of songs out there.

multi-tasking, multi-tabs, multi-devices..i like it. i like having everything at my fingertips in the instant that i want it. but sometimes i think it's too much. i feel nervous when i'm out of email contact, but after a few days of detox i can totally forget about it until the cycle starts again

Wince's Internet Marketing Blog! : Week 3 - Digital Ethnography and Potential Approaches in Future IM Classes

I love efficiency. We actually tried this in our study group, where each study group member had to do the reading and summarize all of the key things in one page. Out with the garbage, in with the insights. Theoretically great, but it didn't really work out because some people didn't do it.. But with a large classroom and the professor telling you to do it this way would get everyone's cooperation.

Brett's Internet Marketing Blog : How to sell atheism

i read some time ago two interesting things about outdoor ads: 1) some people were playing around with a (hidden?) camera or sensor built in the ad so that they can detect physical characteristics of the person that stops to look. It could be useful to gather some demographics (gender/ethnicity/age), but again has the problem of quantifying the real benefits of the ad. 2) some ads have bluetooth enabled so that you can opt to receive info instantaneously..I think I saw some in an airport before
