With the amount of bull shite and hot air floating aroung in Copenhagen, I can see how they are counting on it to push their agenda.

I guess we will need a couple of those vehicle barriers on the runways at the airport as well.

Yes, I was told the other day that Perisher Blue had received a covering of snow. We also had a couple of quite cold days even on the coast. God Is absolutely in control of His creation and the weathermen can’t even get tomorrow’s weather right. My next door neighbour is a professor of Geology, and an expert in climate change. His opinion is that there is a small amount of pollution in Antarctica which the isotopes show is from coal fired power stations, and the answer is as simple as slowly introducing nuclear power. The rest is just restricted papers being published. If you don’t agree with their agenda, your paper won’t be published, and you won’t get a grant for your work. One volcano puts out more pollution than man has in all our history. It is a giant con to make billions for companies selling carbon credits, such as those owned by Al Gore.

A dozen Italians could build it in a week. Don’t forget the razor wire, and a mote on the inside of the wall, filled with Gators. They should give the sharks already there a run for their money.

What is the perimeter of Washington DC? How many people would it take to build "The Great Wall Of Washington"? How many guards with guns would it take to stop them climbing out? Seems to me when you have that many crooks in one place, it is best to keep them there!

As an Australian, I don’t have a dog in this fight! I became interested in American politics when the pregnant chad thing happened. I would not have known which party was which before that, and did not much care. I was not well at the time and spent many hours up through the night and through the day watching live TV. CNN was all we had then, as FOX was not yet available. I was so outraged by what I had seen live, being painted as something else in the news clips, that I became incredibly irate. No one was more pleased than I when Bush won the election.
If you don’t want to vote for the supporters of the king of crooks, and don’t want to vote for the less than conservative GOP, do what I have sometimes done. Voting is compulsory here, so when I have been too disgusted with the union backed candidate and we have no conservative running in our seat, I vote informal by not ticking a box, and then write a lengthy note on the back of the ballot paper, pointing out the things that displease me, and give them some advice. I leave happy! Are you able to attend local GOP meetings and stand for the party nomination, or stand as an independent?

They say that any publicity is good publicity! Don’t know if Tiger would agree at the moment!
You are not going to get enough people to abandon the GOP in favour of an unknown conservative party, to actually have that party gain power in the short amount of time you have. It happened here in the 80s, and the new conservative party had massive support, but was savagely attacked by the media and all political parties. The lack of political expertise showed. The woman who started the party, Pauline Hanson, was honest and dedicated. She had many people stand as her reps for seats throughout the country, and they had many followers. She got many donations from the mums and dads to buy advertising. Her lack of experience showed when the press asked her questions she could not answer. Questions they had never asked the leaders of major parties. She was a fish shop owner but without the class of Sarah Palin, but much like Sarah Palin, they attacked every aspect of her life.
Her party got surprisingly good numbers in the election, but not enough to win. All she succeeded in doing was to split the vote and hand the election to the left. Like Sarah, the attack went on after the election and although she then stood for a senate seat, which she won, the attacks went on and she became a joke figure. Eventually she was sent to jail on an electoral technicality, which paled in comparison to the corruption going on in the main stream parties. She served about 18 months and then went back to her fish and chip shop.
Your best bet is to get new blood into the GOP. Flush out the old incumbents! I agree they have become another faction of the democrats, but there are still some good people there and they are the ones you want to cultivate. The trouble is power corrupts, and people are human, and unfortunately there are not a huge percentage who will put their principles ahead of the power and money. Only the few who have worked out that life is short and passes quickly know that it is not about the money or power. Romney is one who put his money where his mouth is, but look at the way they attacked him. I think his crime was that he had changed his mind on abortion over a period of years and come out against it.
How does one go about standing for pre selection for a GOP seat? You need to devise a list of questions that potential members can answer in a manner fitting a true conservative.
No matter what, you need to keep your eye on the ball and you are not going to get a viable alternative party running in time to take enough seats away from the congress in next years election. Better to go with what you have for now, using the anti democrat protest vote, and make changes when some of the crooks are out of Washington. If they stay in power, any talk of new parties will be a waste of time as elections will be so rigged that you will never get them out of power.

I dislike the dem lites more than I dislike the dems, who at least have the decency to come out as dems. The difference with the party name is that the GOP already has a staunch base and financial backing. This is good and bad, but anything is better than what is happening now, and ultimately winning control of the congress has to be the first line of attack. The most effective way to do this is as the GOP. The time to get rid of the purple puke is when the greatest danger has passed, after the 2010 election!
I will put an entry on Forum about the recent true conservative overthrow in our Australian conservative party. The goodies resigned their positions (at great personal expense) because they would not back their evil leader, who ordered them to support our government and pass ETS, our version of Cr@p and Tax.
The government does not hold the balance of power in the senate and needed the opposition votes to pass the legislation. Because 11 members resigned, it forced a vote in the party room and the rich arrogant former leader (who undoubtedly owns a company or two that stands to make money from the deal), was tossed from power. Our conservative party then took a secret ballot which voted 55 to 29 against the legislation. They agreed to block the legislation, and our PM will go to Copenhagen empty handed. He has just returned from DC after a brag fest with BHO, thinking he had the deal made.
