I think his love for the country, and his faith and by the grace of God was he able to endure such hate spewed about him. Thanks Adam for your heartfelt tribute.

That's disappointing to hear. . ."too popular". Julia Roberts won for Erin Brokovich(SP?), and she was popular. Hopefully Sandra will win the nom., she has certainly earned it. . .for her body of work and for The Blind Side. I love her and her husband, and they are one cool couple.

I really enjoyed the book, but if you want a great read, read Alice Seibold's autobiography Lucky. When I heard they were making The Lovely Bones into a movie, I was a little surprised they picked that one and not Lucky. I was really disappointed in the movie, it missed a lot of the strengths and themes of the book. It's also been in "the can" for a year or two, perhaps trying to fix it. Mark Wahlberg was miscast. Ryan Gosling was originally cast as the father, he would've at least made the mediocre material a little more palatable. If memory serves, Alice wrote The Lovely Bones as therapy to her brutal rape when she was in college. . .then she wrote Lucky, because as the police said after her rape, she was lucky to be alive. It's harrowing, brutal and triumphant and her strength brings tears and joy. It's a really good book.

Whaaaat? Was Seattle unavailable for the out of town tryout! "We fit together like a hand inside a glove". . .ack! When this show fails they can recycle that song in "OJ-The musical".

Love your bite and jadedness;) Enjoyed this a lot. . .

"As stars get their awards they’ll thank everyone under the sun except for Joe the Plumber, who paid the nine bucks to see the unoriginal celluloid roll mindlessly across his view on a Friday night after a 10 hour workday." The truth of this statement sums up the lot of the dog and pony shows. . .the movie stars, pitch enhanced karaoke croakers et al are so out of touch with who's paying their over-priced salaries.

"James Cameron claims to have written this film fifteen years ago, which would put it squarely in the middle of the Ecstasy craze. All the glowing colors, peace, and love, that exists on Pandora certainly seems drug inspired."

Good point Tim. It's only a movie, but like any other geek-genre cartoon/movie, it's groupies are steadfast in their loyalty. Do they even realize they're being manipulated from the very conception to premiere - from the writer to the marketing machine and all the little tid bits in between; including what we're allowed to see while the movie is being made? Hmm. . .;) ;)

What do you want to bet that you'll be seeing copies of the above "art pieces" on walls of yours and my lib friends in the near future. . .monkeys see, monkeys do. But it will take some time, since they won't realize they like this "art" until Barbara Walters, 48 hours(or the likes) or the MSM does a special on it; then watch the link to Amazon.com crash!
