Its amazing to think that this great player scored only 94 goals in his 5 years at our beloved club. Where as Messi scored 21 less (73) in only one season.

Why is that? its better than biased english announcers..Ray loves messi and barca, and you can tell by the excitement he shows when calling the games. I, for one, love his commentary.

Well, I agree with a few of your statements, but I would say that if you leave solely for monetary purposes, than you are in fact, not, blaugrana through and trough. Im sure what he's being paid now by the club, and adidas, and whatever other sponsorships he has, he is able to provide for his family adequately enough. You would never see Messi, Puyol, Xavi, etc leave for money because of what the club has done for them, and because of what they have given back. These are players I consider blaugrana through and through. Not saying the other players don't love the club, just that they aren't entrenched in its history like some others.

Well, thats it for our season. The copa will be nice, but I wanted at least one other "Major" trophy. For those of you doubting Messi, give your head a shake, I always get nervous when he takes penalties, but what can you do. The little guy is a genius, he's tired, played close to 60 games this year, hopefully hell win balon dor, but who knows now.

A couple things I have to say here: 1. I think we will win in the camp nou, but we will need two goals in the first half at least. I just pray no one is really tired out to much in the classico this saturday, or worse, injured. 2. Dont blame cesc and alexis, cesc playing out of position is giving his all. Should he have scored in the first half? Yup, no doubt about it, but it isn't all on his shoulders. Alexis isn't a 30 goal scorer, yet, he needs to refine his craft and adapt to our system a bit yet, were really seeing the 2 months he was injured now. 3. The villa injury has cost us more than anyone could ever imagine. 4 points behind madrid now (we've done a hell of a job closing the gap mind you) but I can't help but think had Villa been healthy, wed be level or ahead of madrid at this point. He had a knack of scoring in some tighter matches. 4. The villa injury also cost our youngsters, how important is it to them to learn from one of the best strikers in history? The amount he can pass on to the likes of Sanchez, tello, etc is indisputable, I almost think this is part of the reason we bought him, to pass on knowledge to the youngsters coming up. 5. I am absolutely disgusted by how people say chelsea won due to a "fair" referee, If there really was a uefa conspiracy, than one ref would not change that..People need to realize there is no conspiracy, and when we are awarded a penalty it is 99.9% of the time deserving.

Alexis fit for this game is a must. He has experience playing against them. As for midfield, there is no other option than to go with xavi/iniesta/busquets. Cesc can possibly slide in between alexis and messi, it worked well in the classico, it could work here as well. With no van bommel around, we should be allowed to move the bar a little bit more freely. Were going to need to bring back at least a 2 goal advantage to spain. Ac Milan have proven they can score against us so were going to need to do what we do best and score as well. In defence, puyol should partner pique in the middle, dani alves at RB is a given, and I'm not to sure about LB. Adriano is good, but is he up to the task of stopping ibra and boetang? Im not so sure about that.

I agree completely with you. with all our injuries this year, you think some better choices would have been made. At least our progression to the 1/4 of Champions league is not really in doubt, and he should only miss the league game against racing.

Alexis is just trying to impress pep and there was no need to exert himself like that at the end of the game. Its just frustration and Im sure pep would have apologized afterwards. Its a hamstring injury. The barca curse does us in again. I said earlier if we were going to lose the league that it would be due to injuries (Not going to start talking about refs, we all know how we feel about that). Its unfortunate, but with barca, we have some of the best trainers and they put together excellent plans for these players to get back to full fitness ASAP and stay there. I feel for alexis as he has had an injury ridden season, and god knows how good he has been for us, imagine what would have been if he hadn't been injured. Thankfully our progression to the next round of CL looks secure. That will be our trophy for this year along with the copa, and looks like Alexis will be back long before we start the next round of CL.
