Dude, there's no digging required. Knocked Up: the entire story is about taking personal responsiblility. 40 Year Old Virgin: entire story is about waiting for sex. Superbad: the bond of friendship. These are not subtle cues, they are the central storyline for these movies. Yes, there's a lot of raunch in there, but these themes are definately the 800lb gorilla in the room.

I've always seen it as comparable to putting a dog's pills in a piece of cheese. By hiding the moral of the story in dick and fart jokes he manages to, ever so subtly, influence the crowd that after-school specials never could.

Right, by that logic, if we were meant to fly, we'd have wings. If we were meant to travel at 70 mph, then we would be able to run that fast. If we were meant to live indoors, we'd have a shell, etc.

With the exception of the all caps and language, I kinda agree with him. While I appreciate the affect of slant in our media (and I don't just mean the news), it bothers me that even before the movie has been reviewed, people scream that it must be a Obama lovefest. I also object vehemently the assumption that, as a fly-over country conservative, if I see it (which I certainly will), and like it (which is a distinct possibility) I must have been duped, and stupid enough to not notice any propaganda. As much as we complain about people's preconceptions of conservatives, there seem to be many here jumping to some hard conclusions about a movie that we know next to nothing about, based on a couple of comments, which are all we have to go on here, that were said for the purpose of selling tickets. Considering that the premiere of this movie was at an Air Force base for servicemen (who were really excited, by the way), i'm prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt. I shall reserve judgement until after i've seen it.

I do find it intensely shameful that fallen troops went unnoticed in the wake of the death of a washed-up ex-superstar. P.S. "jester" not "gesture." Damn spellchecker.

Unfortunately, at this point in time, all of those past tense state of being words (i.e. was, were) should be in present tense (i.e. is and are). God, I wish that was not the case.

Arrogance. I've decided that that's why the left doesn't care that socialism has never worked. Lefty: "Of course, it hasn't! WE weren't running it back then!" They seem convinced that it will work this time simply because THEY are doing it. And, of course, they can never be wrong. Come to think of it, if they push their system through and it fails, they'll just say that we didn't help enough. It can never, ever, be their fault.
