haha @ swimming laps. As for the conversation, you're right, it is a great way to get insight into the culture. The women were all joking and laughing with each other and truly, it was fun just to watch them interact. :)

I've been to the more touristy hotel versions in Taiwan as well and I totally agree that it is not as relaxing. Gotta go naked or go home ha.

I think it might just be the super traditional ones in Taiwan. I know the hotel ones on the island are not as strict.

I can attest to Tokyo- it cost me almost 10x as much as it did in Taipei to get from the airport to the city! The station attendant was unmoved by my jaw hitting the floor.
