You got me my friend. My best guess would be since most members of ACORN are minorities, any sane (conservative) congressman who tries to remove their funding gets called a racist. The sad thing is, groups like ACORN hurt minorities more than anything else, except maybe governmnet.

They have always been like the Mafia. Sadly, the governmnet is becoming more like the Mafia. Hell, I feel bad for the Mafia comparing them to Unions and the government.
