No surprise there that it was a pit mix
surprise surprise is right. Time for BSL
Terina, I suppose you are going to quote the false nanny dog BS. Pit bulls were NEVER known as nanny dogs and were never considered family pets. The only people who owned pits were dog fighters and they had sense enough to keep them away from their children. People have never been afraid of the bloodhound. And English bulldogs of old look NOTHING like the Bulldog of today.
Actually grmnshphrdess, Rotties are part of the WORKING group. They were used by the Romans to drive their herds, but also to guard, to fight in battle and to pull carts. Their drive to "herd without harm" is not the same as dogs actually in the herding group like Shelties, Aussies and Heelers.
And yes, dogs like this running loose in a pack do get out of control and will chase down and kill livestock. When this happens the dogs should be put down because once it starts, it won't stop.
I may not know the name of Lori's neighbor, but I certainly know who her "fake friends are". grmnshprdss aka Regina (Gina) Frau . Instead of coming to this site to tell what really happened to Henry and how he is progressing, you come on here to defend the pit bull! And not once did you post the link to Henry's donation page. Shame on you. Lori not only needs to watch out for her neighbor's dangerous pit bull, but also fake friends with their own pit bull agenda.
There you go spreading the lies about the Vick dogs again. Typical pit nutter propaganda. They have not been rehabed. In fact several of them at the Best Friends Compound have actually killed each other. Pit bull owners like yourself and Lori's neighbors who refuse to own up to what this breed can and does do are not doing the breed justice. The owner should be sued and the dog euthanized. period
I'd like to see the AKC paperwork on those so called "Am Staffs .Many people like to call their byb pits Am staffs or Staffie Bulls in an effort to make them look legit. As for Bulls Eye Dog rescue, NONE of their dogs in rescue are actual Amstaff or Staffie Bulls. You wanna know why, because there are very few breeders of these two breeds and they heavily screen owners and require a legally binding contract to be signed requiring the dog be returned to them if the owner is unable to keep them. ie they don't end up in rescue
and of course everything on the internet is true an reliable source. (eye roll)
grmshprdess, I can see you have drank the pit nutter kool-aid. APBT were bred for aggression and until laws are put into place to take them out of the hands of idiot bybs, then that aggression will never be bred out of them.
grmnshphrdess, you are completely CLUELESS when it comes to dogs and continue to show yourself as that. A bite from a pit is NOT like that of a Lab at all. Pits are bred to bite down, grip and shake. Labs on the other hand (because of the work they do, you know RETRIEVING), have been bred to have a "soft mouth, or bite).
