I'm fully aware of hitler's socialist policies - but obviously using him as a reference has other inherent implications. No backpedaling. As far as the government mandating what you can eat, drink, or smoke - I'm the last person that supports that - unless people like me and ShiningCityGirl are expected to pay for the consequences of your behavior, which I am even more against. This isn't la-la land - you can't have it both ways. Either do whatever you want and take personal responsibility for it, or if you want others to take responsibility for you, don't expect them to say "anything goes".
What, like not smoking or doing drugs is NOT something to be proud of? Your use of the hitler comparison is digressive and highly offensive - as if his vegetarianism had anything to do with genocide. The biggest sin is not smoking, drinking, or taking drugs - it would be doing those things and then expecting people like ShiningCityGirl to pay the price for the repercussions.
