I tried running beta5 on my iPhone4 using vmware workstation, and it gets stuck on the "waiting for reboot" phase at the end of the jailbreak every time.

Has anyone successfully ran this redsn0w with vmware, if so any tips ?

Again, You can already jailbreak your brand new iPhone4 with the current redsn0w v0.9.6b6 to, their is no point for you to wait for the upcoming redsn0w release because your iPhone is going to still be tethered.

Theirs not a really good reason to hold off, I would update to 6.15 if I were in your situation.

Just remember that you might not have functioning GPS features if you do decide to update to 6.15, but you well have a Working Unlock.

Yes it is untethered, as long as you have the OLD bootrom.

Also you can jailbreak/unlock it using Redsn0w.

Use Redsn0w v0.9.6b6, which you can find above.

"All US carriers that sell LOCKED handsets are REQUIRED by LAW to provide unlock codes upon request."

Than why is AT&T not obligated by US law to do so for iPhone Owners ?

are you trying to install firmware 4.2.1 ? & what device are you using?

Thats because you have to run redsn0w, its a tethered bootup.

Also why are you using tinyumbrella to update to 4.2.1 ?
