Bravo! This critique of Rich's piece is excellent.
Rich's "Swift Boat" connection is really weak, as Larry Elder pointed out, "[t]hough he deserved praise for his courage in the aftermath of the attack on PT 109, it had apparently sunk because he had been inattentive as a commander, as (Pulitzer-Prize winning author and historian) Garry Wills long ago pointed out. JFK himself worried that the events could justify either a medal or a court martial"(WND 11/18/11). Victor Lasky is not the only "Swift Boater" regarding Kennedy.

Noam Chomsky seems to believe killing an enemy in wartime is against international law, and that the US is still at war against American Indians. Does he deny that OBL made and distributed videotapes calling for jihad against the West? He wants "proof" acceptable in a US court before the US can kill the leader of a terror network in a foreign country. This is insanity and anyone who accepts this perversion of thought deserves pity. Forgive them Lord, for they know not what they do.

I fear that ACORN's new name will give them an opportunity to do business with the Census - the White House can say "Oh no, we severed ties with ACORN; instead we are using the services of a new group - COI."
