Is This Mike On? : How they found me

My apologies. I just came back from vacation and saw these comments. They were homemade Christmas presents from Grandma Margaret that would have been very difficult and time-consuming to replace. She took the time crochet Kleenex box covers in the form of a couch for each family member.

One of the best things I've seen you write. That really moved me. Maybe it was the talk of all the alcohol.

The Daily Blarg : We\'re so Classy-Redneck Flowbee Edition

Don't listen to Steph. I am a living example of a Flowbee gone bad. It hurts to talk about it, but the counselor said it would help.

Good advice both of you. Sorry Brett, but I especially like the Pepsi idea. Or Five Hour Energy.

You bring up a good idea. I may be speaking to our local Taco Bell about letting me work there for the day.

Justin: You make some good points and thank you for reading. It's true that people have gone on to great success after getting their GEDs. And people working in fast food truly are in a thankless job. For that reason, I do not ever recall yelling, insulting or mistreating employees for some incredibly horrendous service. While I have held them accountable for their customer service, I have always tried to treat them with respect. I have no idea what their stories are and I understand how difficult their jobs can be. My whole point to my son was to not let Taco Bell be the end of the line. Reach for something higher that can impact the most lives, and that doesn't necessarily mean making the most money.

Hi Stephanne2 Thank you for reading my blog and I appreciate your comments. You are absolutely correct to recognize that least this young man is working. I totally agree and that's why I said in my post,
Again, TBG, this may be a brief stop for you on your way up. It could be hard times and this is the only way to bring in some money for the family. Hey, you’re here instead of immersed in World of Warcraft right?
But in case it was the end game for this young man, it proved to be a great visual for my son.

Matt Neznanski : Revamp: Making home improvement easier

I would encourage pros to answer the question vs. tossing out an ad for themselves. "Let Henderer Design Build come to the rescue and you won’t even have to worry about the details. You’ll be enjoying your new space in no time." That immediately turns me off and I won't be calling them. However if they were to actually answer the question in a few sentences, I would be calling them to ask more. Isn't that what we're trying to achieve here?
