Thank goodness Obama decided to pull the missile defense system out of Eastern Europe.

Am I the only one who sees the train hurtling down the tracks right for us - while we do all we can to help it out?

I had to read that three times to make sure I wasn't having some sort of horrible nightmare:

Al Franken is on the Judiciary Committee.

Wow.

Brilliant move. The fact that she is a serious threat to the elitist progressive movement currently in power is evident by the fact that she continues to be attacked by the mainstream media and entertainment industry even six months after the election. She has now freed herself of being subjected to harassment through frivolous ethics complaints (all 15 were dismissed as such) and can fully enter the national and world stage.

She will address any deficiencies she may have had in the area of world issues by being able to travel more freely in the lower 48 as well as to other countries. Again, she we be able to do this without being criticized (and unfairly accused of ethics complaints) as to whether or not those activities were conflicting with her ability to function as Governor.

The progressive's major fear is a Sarah Palin who cannot be characterized as some "hick from Alaska." Hence, you can expect the attacks from the mainstream media and entertainment industry to increase in frequency and viciousness immediately.

She is attacked so viciously because she is feared so intensely.

It's easy to get distracted by all the Franken votes that exceeded registered voters in some Democratic districts. It's also easy to get distracted by all those Franken votes that were "found in the trunk of a car." (You just can't make that stuff up!)

Let's not forget that the people of Minnesota elected Stuart Smalley of all people. This guy came out of nowhere and has zero political experience. He's a far left guy (just as dangerous as a far right guy) whose hateful commentary is roundly blamed for the failure of Air America.

Stuart Smalley, US Senator. I'm good enough, I'm strong enough, and doggonit people like me.

Wow.

You make the critically fatal and incorrect assumption that the only people criticizing Obama are Bush supporters. Too many people have a "favorite sports team" mentality when expressing their political beliefs.

And actually, people don't know if they're going to work tomorrow or not because Obama's massive and unprecedented spending is actually making the economy worse. Oh, by the way, spending that Bush started in late 2008.

Uh, did you miss the part where Iran is actively and aggressively developing nukes? Or how about the part where their primary goals since 1979 have been to defeat Israel and the United States? Or how about the part where they've been funding terrorist organizations like Hamas? Or sending terrorists across the borders in to Iraq and Afghanistan?

Unfortunately the whole "don't stick our nose where it's not wanted" bit didn't work to well in the 1930's now, did it?

On a more serious note, these brave Iranians desperately long for freedom from the oppression under which they've lived for 30 years. The free world has a chance to help these selfless reformers succeed, thus possibly turning the tide in an Iranian government that is still hell-bent on wiping Israel of the map, as well as destroying the "Great Satan" of America. At the end of the day, love us or hate us, would you really want to live in a world without a powerful United States?

Don't worry everyone ... Obama is going to pack up his teleprompter and go "talk" to the Ayatollah. Then he's going to Change and Hope his ass into submission, just like he did to 50 million Americans.

Then he'll bust out some stimulus and omnibus so that all the Iranians are happy and they'll abandon their nuclear program and make hybrid cars instead.

Everything's going to be just fine!

How can anyone NOT find this creepy? When in our history have we ever idolized a sitting President in this manner?
