I have a better idea. How about a 100 foot high by 300 foot wide mural of a modern, clean, gleaming downtown skyline as you drive north into "downtown" on 380? Maybe we can tap into some NEA money for the project. After all, that's what we appear to be best at - feeding from the public trough.

Once again we are 10-15 years behind the times. While other metros around the country are focusing on collaborative efforts to lure jobs to their AREA and reduce infighting that serves no purpose other than to drive up the price, our illustrious mayor is fighting with a town 5 minutes away.

People are moving into Linn-Mar because they want to pay higher taxes? Now that is rich.

Read again:
Linn-Mar administrators estimate that, because of changes in determining the taxable value of residential property, the owner of a $150,000 home should still expect to pay slightly more ($5.50) in annual school taxes.

Taxes aren't going down in any case. I'd say the working families of this community deserve a break after huge increases the past four years.
