I would be more concerned if the world DIDN'T hate you. Wear it like a badge of honor.

Blessed are you when men hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man. Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their fathers treated the prophets.

Luke 6:22-23

Is anybody else wondering why the person in the background of the photo has their fingers crossed? (I would say "she", but then I'd find out that those shaved legs and painted toenails belong to Jon and then I'd feel silly.)

If the forwarded emails that I got in the 90s are correct, then yes. No word from Snopes.

I've been accused of reading xkcd before, but Snopes debunked that rumor.

But how do we know that Snopes can be trusted? What if they started their own urban legend that the they are the urban legend authority and then they just make stuff up?

Good one. Being in the Houston area, I know a few Osteen fans, but I'm not one of them.

Of course, if it's called "soccer", then chances are it's an American reference anyway. :)
