If I acquire a factory unlocked 3GS loaded with 3.1 from Australia can I put in a SIM from my current 2G AT&T iPhone and still jailbreak it? I don't need to unlock, only to jailbreak it.

With my 2G iphone with AT&T as my carrier, everything works but something in the custom .ipsw that PwnageTool 3.1 made removed Visual Voicemail. How do I make it work and keep the JB?

Is the iPhone 2G able to tether? I have a newly JB'd 2G phone at 3.1. Thanks for that. I could never make 3.0 and now 3.1 tether using all the methods available on the web. I've seen a couple of mentions that you can't tether from a 2G. True or False?
