I believe that there are a plenty of good people who need advocacy in trying to make a positive and productive life for themselves here in the US. Protesting the name of a restaurant does not serve that need. I hope that those protesting refocus their energy.

Mr. Turner, please do not change the name, it is fantastic for all of the right reasons and obviously does not negatively effect your ability to succeed. As a matter of fact you could argue the opposite.

As for Ms. Medina this appears to be a publicity stunt.

Was he wrong, yes. These convictions have basically ended his career in law enforcement, and rightfully so I suppose as he appears to not be fit for the power of law enforcement. However, I do hope that your prediction is accurate as this is not a situation that merits ruining his life entirely.

When I saw "Live Coverage of the Mapleton elk trial" I did a double take to see if I was on The Onion's web site.

REMOTE Colorado, where Wayne LaPierre's gun industry agenda goes to thrive.

Hm, I did not know that Wayne LaPierre was a plumber from Pueblo.

The vote was a waste of taxpayer $. Here is why.....

1. The bills would have passed even without the two votes that were just recalled. It was the right thing to do. No ones gun rights were taken away, you just need to have a back-ground check and cannot have a clip with more than 15 rounds. The majority of CO voters believe this, polls prove it.

2. Difficult to take a shift in majority, that a recall does not stop. A state that traditionally leaned Republican is evolving to state where the majority of the population is now moderate to left. We live in a democracy so the votes and decisions will continue to lean the way of the populace not the outliers. The two districts that were recalled are in smaller , semi-remote conservative areas and even there the votes were not land-slides. There were still 43.9% and 49% that voted against the recall in an area that conservatives should own out-right.

It was an expensive little battle won by a group that has already lost the war.

I could not agree more, mediocre is being kind. Ate there once, most likely won't go back, kinda nasty. The kids ordered pizza and they gave us frozen pizzas from the grocery store. The only thing I would keep is the name Blue Parrot and the sign, everything else: menu, decor, furniture needs updating. Louisville should save their money on the deck.

Traffic in LA, rain in Seattle, oppressive heat in Phoenix, insects in Florida and we have cyclists. You just learn to live with it.
