1. The bills would have passed even without the two votes that were just recalled. It was the right thing to do. No ones gun rights were taken away, you just need to have a back-ground check and cannot have a clip with more than 15 rounds. The majority of CO voters believe this, polls prove it.
2. Difficult to take a shift in majority, that a recall does not stop. A state that traditionally leaned Republican is evolving to state where the majority of the population is now moderate to left. We live in a democracy so the votes and decisions will continue to lean the way of the populace not the outliers. The two districts that were recalled are in smaller , semi-remote conservative areas and even there the votes were not land-slides. There were still 43.9% and 49% that voted against the recall in an area that conservatives should own out-right.
It was an expensive little battle won by a group that has already lost the war.
