I like the size of it, however I wouldn't like my children to be on the upper floor and myself on the bottom. That would not work for parents of younger children. Obviously the designer has no children. Just a thought for the future designers.

So glad to hear she stood tall during the storm. I am finally in a position to win and keep as a vacation home and I would hate to see that possibility go away. Whew! All of my daydreaming would be for nothing.

Hockey themed - Definitely a big screen tv and sound system (for the games not on the tv). A Penalty box shower, hockey stick towel holders, puck shaped soaps, goal light everytime you flush the toilet, whistle everytime the seat is left up, white apoxy floor, goal net hamper, and the tub would be like a soak tub in the locker rooms. My husband and I would love a bathroom like that and I think most hockey fans would too.

Well my husband just got laid off, so I am now one of the sob stories looking for a leg up on life. This is a disaster. I don't know what we are going to do.

Here are some of the things I want in the new blog "cabin" and I want to know your basic wants as well:

I want comfort in the great room, not a couch that will never be used because it is too uncomfortable to sit on.
I want a tv that I can watch without throwing my neck out of place. Reference the 2010 Blog Cabin tv in the living room.
I want a kitchen that my kids can sit in to have cereal before school in the morning while watching cartoons. 2010 Green Home
I want functional kids rooms not showcases. - 2010 Toy Story Room in the Dream Home.
I want decorations that are easy to dust and walls that are easy to wipe down. Can you imagine dusting a birch tree ornamental wall like in the green home or a cord of sticks like in the 2010 Dream Home?

My wants are not luxury items or anything out of the ordinary. I think the interior designer needs to visit real homes prior to decorating this one.

Agreed, the choices are so limited that it really isn't much of a choice for us. Also, I agree about the redundancy of the bedrooms, great rooms, and bathrooms. It seems that it is the same designer for all of the dream homes, blog cabine and green home and I am really not a fan because I don't believe she has a feel for the common peoples taste.
