So I checked their internet history : and things seemed pretty much much
like these people always did just before he cleared the bookmarks
(which are back again too) and also "made a great effort" – precisely what presents?!
Seemed to be this a new one-off slip I was seeing the effects involving?
Didn't seem like the item. Therefore , he was lying to me when he
said having been making an effort. He has getting more with it.
Conceivably he did consider for a little bit, however, not much more.
Is actually his relationship with all the images (and persons?!?!?!
) on the net more important to be able to him than his / her relationship together with his wife and also family in truth?

Maybe HGTV should take a cue from Sarah Susanka - I think I have all of the "Not So Big House" series of books and they make complete and total sense to me. Also "A Pattern Language" and "Patterns of Home" by Jacobsen and Silverstein, whom Ms. Susanka recommends. These all make sense from both an architectural AND a living standpoint. Good things can come in small packages - I've been telling my petite daughter that for (almost) 14 years! Not so tiny as to be impractical, but as a challenge, how about trying to build something that makes the best use of space, with broad (warm & cozy) appeal and a touch of drama? I think you and I agree it's time for a change!
For some reason, I haven't been as thrilled with the most recent DreamHomes. They've begun to take on a stark edge that just doesn't feel as comfortable (or "dreamy") to me. The locations have mostly been stellar, but the homes just didn't hit the level that some of the older DHs did for me - they're missing something. I know, beggars can't be choosers, as my grandmother would have said, but if HGTV wants honest feedback I feel compelled to offer my opinion. A DreamHome is a place to live, not visit. A place to set down roots, to nest, to never want to leave. Build us a home that makes us drool, but also supports the practialities of life and nurtures our ideas of what a home should be. Tall order, but if you're going to call something a DreamHome, you have to live up to the name! I wonder if maybe a DreamHome should be a smaller home, but a better home?
I so completely agree with you! I didn't feel like this was a home - it was a rental! No cozy, warm welcoming feeling at all with this DH. Maybe it was too modern in feel? I guess some of us need more squishy stuff and a few lower ceilings in some spaces to make it feel snug and safe.
I share your disappointment also. Not my fave DH. But I didn't enjoy the living areas or the kitchen - the bedrooms & bathrooms were all better spaces! Go figure. LOL! I guess am just not a fan of modern style - this DH just didn't strike me as a cozy, welcoming home. Frankly, the Santa Fe home wasn't on my fave list either, but it had more warmth and charm than this. Both homes have bits and pieces that I like, but not enough to make me jump up and down with excitement.
How about some of my mother's all time favorites - Jordan Almonds, Nonpareils, and Ribbon Candy? She kept those highly colorful tidbits in jars for as long as I can remember....I think her mother did the same. Something to be said for family tradition. And why edible items at all? I think someone made the comment elsewhere in the blog that the space lacked greenery - so how about a terrarium or some air plants? Orchids?
I may be the only person on earth that actually reaped the benefits of my siblings distaste for MaryJanes - I loved them! I can't eat them anymore, but I didn't even need to trade for them when I was a kid at Halloween - they were freely given away! I snagged those and the peanut butter kisses (I had strange tastes as a kid - still do, I guess!) whenever I had a chance. I did pitch the peppermints, though - still don't like those! A co-worker just brought me a candy bouquet of Reese's as a going away present today - I leave tomorrow to start a new job next week - still love that peanut butter! ;)
Beautiful Song - Great Movie! (loved the costumes!) This is the version I remember....
MaryJanes are break-your-teeth peanut butter chews, FYI, and actually, why any candy at all? If their current market is hip & trendy, healthy organic stuff would be more appropriate, eh? Why food at all? I think they were just looking for something colorful to fill the jars - designer trick. They should probably re-think that....
I know it's a stunning apt., but it's just not for me. I would kill for the living room rug, and the views are bellisima! And I ferverently wish that more builders used POCKET DOORS to save space like this! I guess I just can't see myself there, but what a great place for a city dweller! Stylish, to be sure! After seeing the second Sex in the City movie this summer, I can certainly picture any of the girls in question inhabiting this space! :*
