I can't remember exactly where I read about it but it was during the time that the stories came out about Palin's wardrobe. Mitt and his backers would do anything to be president.
Palin has the scars to prove it. It was Romney's campaign people who leaked to the press that Palin was a diva and spent hundreds of thousands on clothes when in fact she took them because they were provided to her. Romney apparently couldn't stand that he didn't get the V.P. nod so his people helped sabotage Palin therefore screwing the rest of us with Obama. I always thought I would get behind him if he won because he would be the lesser of two evils now I am not so sure.
I agree they have a national Sunday morning program and it is the only news that my grandparents get because they are turned off by the broadcast news networks liberal bias and they don't want to have cable T.V. and they are not ever going to have a computer because they are in their 80's and never got into the internet. Fox would probably trounce the broadcast networks as well as they have the liberal cable networks.
State after state I don't recall her saying anything in the first two states.
What ifs can't save us now however I am not sure that Bush 1 or Dole would have used the justice department to threaten the banks into giving loans to those who were bad credit risk based on a flawed study of race and loan denials. Maybe Bush or Dole would have done something about Al Queda the first time the World Trade Center attack and 9/11 wouldn't have happened. In fact I know history likes to judge Clinton through rose colored glasses and he did so much that I don't think that Bush or Dole would have done. (Wacco, Ruby Ridge, ect.)
I agree sorry no one is perfect. I wish more women would have run. If Palin would have run she would have been the one taking all the shots by the press but she would have handled them just fine.
He also uses "I" and "Me" as much as Obama. His line on being able to win in a blue state falls way short to me also when he lost by double digit points. I live in PA and he was afraid to go after the unions which are still king here even though they destroyed steel, and he took up the great tradition of Jack Murtha and brought home a lot of pork. He just looks like one of those weaselly slick politicians that want to do and say the right things to get votes and lord knows that is not going to fix any of the problems with D.C.
