You also have to download ipsw file 4.0 for 3GS ( not 4.0.1, because you have blobs for 4.0 on TU). Good news is that 4.0 you can jailbreak 4.0 and unlock your phone with ultraslow. Many posts here how to do all of that, and u got tutorial on iclarified. Yesterday I upgraded my 3gs to 4.0.1, jb and ul, don't have battery drainage on stand by, but when using it, drops down really fast... Like 4-5% in 30 mins.
