Really that is the key there. It is our right to own the guns, the moment the government tries to take them away they are breaking our rights. That is exactly why the founding fathers put that into the constitution was so that the people could protect themselves from a tyrannical government that wanted to take away our rights. So what right would a tyrannical government logically go after first? The one meant to stop them. make sense to me.

Then she asks her soon to be step-daughter to sing a song that she, and her entire class by the way, was taught at a school rally thingamajig. Basically the song went like this, "believe in me, believe in me, all your hopes and dreams will be real, believe in me, believe in me." Ok, mind you, this is an impressionable 1st or 2nd grader. This song is also in reference to obama. Ask the little girl anything about Obama and she'll sing his praises. It was funny in a way, but frightening as well. Both her father and my cousin are fairly conservative in nature and do not like Obama at all so right off the bat you know this is not what they were teaching the kid. Nope, the schools.

Ah... scared the crap out of me... I do not think I want my kids in public schooling if this is the kind of indocrtination they're going to have to endure. Nope, I would much rather stick them in a private school where I know what I'm getting, or a even homeschool them should my one day wife be up to that game.

My family and I was at my aunt and uncle's house with their children and soon to be step grand-daughter was there. Well we were kicking it back for Thanksgiving and like any normal family we started talking politics. Well one of my cousin's is a teacher and she started talking about how things were so incredibly wack down here in the Florida school system.

This is hysterical. Because of the total and complete nonsense that it really is. This should not even be a topic. If schools are going to shut this kind of stuff down then they need to look even farther at themselves. To give a story that shows how far downhill the school system has gone in political bias I'll give a little story.

I like the idea. I like the putting it on the internet. The format is just a bit substandard right now and is a bit of a mess. I think in order to better organize discussion and ideas the place definitely to have a more formal forum set up somewhere in the mix. If there is I just have not found it... Still. It works a lot better than page after page of posts on something with a string of replies to one post. Too much gets lost, which is sad because there is a bunch of good stuff here.

I just don't know anymore. It is becoming an exercise in futility. Yes, we surround them. Yes, we are what gives them power. Thusly it is -our- fault. Do not get me wrong here though. I believe that things can be done. It is ugly though, incredibly ugly. The government is running away with our country, and we are letting them... What can we do? I am not sure at the moment. Should a good person run for office why would we trust them? I honestly cannot think of a reason to trust a politician anymore. I've seen some that say things that make me think I can trust them, some that make me believe they're good but... how can I be sure when we seem politicians time and time again dissapoint.

A sad sad thing our country has become and is becoming...

How do we put the good people in power? The real ones. The sincere ones, the ones that are without a doubt here for the country because of what they believe. Do they exist in the political arena? I am not sure.

I don't even know how you can even make that presumption with the way that the government is digging us into the hole. Sure, perhaps the recession will be over, but replaced with a full blown depression. Sure... the government will just maintain that nothing they're doing is causing the problem, at least that is what the democrats will do. Then the Republicans will stand back and point fingers. Third parties will do their normal futile thing. I am not even sure at this point what is going on anymore with D.C. I do not think I need to to be fair. It is all the same. Nothing new. One side acts, the other side jabs. No one does anything right anymore. I firmly believe that too. You want to know why? Because they act out of their own personal gain. It is not possible to do what is right if you are seeking only to promote one person and one person alone.
