This is a complex question to answer, but I will try to be brief.

This comes from the same place as the Reformed and Conservative movements of Judaism. "Be a Jew at home, but not in public."

Meaning: Try to be like the secular world in your beliefs, actions and lifestyles. People like to fool themselves that is they do these things then no one will care that they are Jewish. And when the time comes, won't turn the tables and hate. This has created the self-hating Jews, and the ones who don't even relate to their Jewish ancestry. But this never works, and never will.

Even if you're direct ancestry is not Jewish, but there is a Jew somewhere in the family, even Hitler gave you a yellow star, and wanted you dead.

For people like that (Thay), autonomy is their only religion or belief. Anything, everything is fair game, as long as it suits the person or purpose they will justify it.

So to even try to reason with them on a logical level is fruitless. There is no logic in their "religion".

It is such a shame to see Wahlberg doing another cookie cutter movie. He has such talent, I wish someone would give him a role worthy of, and to showcase his talents. This movie will be yet another one I do not see though.

So true! Patinkin has been in two shows I watched, and he quit. Glad I did not waste time on this one. And ditto on the comment about Damian Lewis as Dick WInters.

A dear friend of mine has a son with Down's, and when they were first old by the doctor the first thing the doctor said was, "Abortion". She and her husband said that was not an option. David is 7 years old now, and a beautiful gift to everyone.

We live in such a throw away society, and none of the right things have value. People over animals, people over money, people over convenience, etc.

People still watch Bill Maher? That is a complete shock, but him saying negative things about Sarah Palin, is not.
