I worked for three years with the government full time while putting myself through college. It was the biggest education in the art of doing nothing for the money I could have received. Some of those people excelled in the fine art of whinning, complaining and avoiding work while at the same time crying about getting more money and better benefits for doing nothing than anyone that I have ever seen since. In the private sector they would have been fired many times over. It is a proven fact that stupid and lazy people love to be led....that is why Unions have a following.
Chris talks about 'Our Civilization" ........I didn't know that Chris knew what the word civilized meant. I thought that Chris only dealt with 'feelings'.
Obama, a democrat, raising taxes......Really? I'm shocked, amazed and astounded. Give me a break! Did you really think he would keep his word about taxes America? Just waiting for more of his ilk - Pelosi and Reid, to justify this new move for the benefit of the majority of Americans and that more 'tax fairness' will be forthcoming.
NO NEED TO MAKE OBAMA HAPPY
OH MY GOSH, WHAT A FOOL I;VE BEEN....... I THOUGHT THAT A WORD WAS SUPPOSED TO MEAN WHAT IT SAYS IN THE MOST SHORT AND DEFINITE TERMS. WAR----O.K. ILLEGAL.....O.K. PRISONER OF WAR......O.K. ENEMY COMBATANTS....O.K. GEE, WHAT COUNTRY HAVE I BEEN EDUCATED IN WHERE I THOUGHT I WAS RIGHT BUT FIND NOW THAT I AM WRONG?
One of my favorite movies is Gone With the Wind and in the closing scenes Rhett Butler repeats his famous line, "Frankly My Dear, I don't give a d---!" but the last line that needs to be remembered is, "Tomorrow is another day!" Tomorrow is another day and needs to be filled with committment, drive and a belief that when we stand for what we believe in we do make a difference. Speaking up and uniting does make a difference and having an attitude that we can and will be heard and not remain the 'silent majority' is very important.
Sadly true, too many people have taken the road that is easy and free and not enough realize that the worthy object takes sweat, sacrifice, hard work and dedication. Thank Glenn for helping us to remember the principles and values that our founding fathers had and lived by
Seems to me that a few other countries have done just that! Don't think that that is the right way to go but it is an interesting thought - a sure sign of the times........give up and walk away from responsible action.
WE ARE WELL AWARE THAT OBAMA IS HERE TO STAY (AT LEAST UNTIL THE NEXT ELECTION) - WHY DO YOU THINK THERE IS SO MUCH ANGER, FRUSTRATION AND CONCERN ABOUT OUR COUNTRY? PEOPLE ARE AWARE THAT BEING PREPARED WILL GET US SOMEONE THAT REALLY LOVES THIS COUNTRY AND SPEAKS FOR THE PEOPLE THAT SUPPORT THE CONSTITUTION AS IT IS WRITTEN AND NOT SOCIALLY INTREPRETED.
