Of course, none of this wouid be necessary if young men would use their brains and not be ruled by their penises. Despite what their apologists/enablers believe, young men can do just that.

I promise you, Michelle Peterson will NOT be involved in doing any actual criminal background checks. Although these are public records, as a practical matter any prospective employer must access them by request to a law enforcement agency and payment of a small fee. In Missouri, the MSHP (see below) will search the rrelevant criminal records databases for convictions for sexual offenses. If you got ticketed for shoplifting a package of beef jerky as a college freshman, and pleaded guilty with a small fine, don't worry. Nobody cares about trying to find perfect people -- it's all about keeping the perverts away from kids.

Okay, I just checked online -- in Colorado, it's the local law enforcement agency that will do the criminal records search for sex offenders. Rumors and suspicions have nothing to do with it.

I don't know about Colorado, but the Missouri State Highway Patrol will do a complete criminal records check in that state's and federal databases, too (the latter includes sex offender registries from every other state) for a nominal fee. It used to be $5, and the prospective employee could be asked to pay for it by the prospective employer. Results are forthcoming almost immediately, certainly by the next working day.

There is a culture of enabling registered sex offenders here, which also needs to be dealt with and ended.

Start by banning them from Boulder Shelter for the Homeless, a facility where many adult victims of sexual abuse go to seek help.

FACT: You keep trotting out a thirdhand, one-sided "report" originally written by a couple of cub reporters at the Kansas City Star -- who NEVER requested an interview with either my public defender or me. The neighbors they quote lied: 1) Jim McGrath (deceased for years, how convenient for you) never spoke with my mom or me, because we knew his son Jeff was a meth dealer and wanted nothing to do with any of 'em (Jeff is now in the federal pen at Marion, IL); and 2) I have no idea who Rona Reade is. The story proves nothing -- because relevant pleadings and sentencing in my case occurred months after this story appeared.

Well, maybe the "report" proves how low journalism has sunk in the 21st Century . . .

What's "plain as day" is that you are obsessed with events which occurred (or didn't occur) over 12 years ago in another state, and which the State of Missouri was finished with when my parole ended almost 7 years ago. Minor Class C and Class D felonies, at that.

Happy New Year!

Stay away from my friends -- or I promise the cops will track you down and take you away, to either Boulder County Jail or the nearest psych unit for evaluation.

The bet is about whether or not the young man involved collects "a lot of money" -- David Barnett is a separate issue.

You should ask Betsey Martens or Greg Harms or Isabel McDevitt that question. But don't automatically accept what they tell you as being the truth.

The IntenseDebate profiles for everyone include a numerical rating, plus or minus.

Yours is currently +65 using the "haydukelives1" screen name. Mine is currently +94 using the "homelessphilosopher" screen name, but it's in the negative range as "GrizzlyBob" with only 16 comments posted, after being in the plus range. The fewer comments one has made, the greater impact of thumbs up or thumbs down. As "Max_Weller_HPC" it was +100 with over 2,000 comments posted.

None of this matters to me, because it's a tabloid-style system with zero accountability for you or me or anybody else. As soon as the Daily Camera is sold, the new owners will switch to a Facebook login system that will do away with all anonymous screen names.

Get it? Of course you do; I'm just explaining this for the benefit of others.

BTW -- nobody reads your fake blog, and you've had about one percent of the number of views I've had. ROTFLMAO! If I quit posting here on the DC site, or they switch to the FB login under new ownership, nobody will even know what in blazes you're ranting about.
For now, I find you an amusing diversion as I'm thinking about other matters or playing chess online.

One of my hosts was just looking over my shoulder, and I showed her your comments as "haydukelives1" . . . She also laughed at you.

Happy New Year in 2015, Kevin.

George W. Hayduke is a fictional character in a couple of novels by Abbey.

Hey, I don't hold your phoniness against you. It's provided a lot of amusement here for everyone.
