Actually, I had been referring to NH+Iowa. But after doing some checking, Dr. Paul's total in NH alone now appears to be over 50,000.

I think the author is basing his views on some flawed logic:

American deterrent diminished? I've got an unknown number of missile subs that say otherwise.

Is the policy flawed? Yes. That means we need a new one, and should not merely stick out this mess just to show we're not afraid to flex our muscle (read: send our troops off to die without so much as asking the American people via their representatives if it is acceptable)

On another note, haven't you heard?- there's no war in Libya. Heck, it's not even considered hostilities.
