Keeping the inmates well fed keeps the guards and keepers safer. It keeps the "inmates" ---- calm-----.
Are you saying that someone vending strawberry jam at a festival in Colusa was strong armed into not showing up with the threat that the event was unsafe because there was not enough security? Yep you are probably right. Maybe thats why there are no vendors at the Farmers Market in the Park, they are all afraid. I think you are on to something here. We better get to the bottom of this right away Batman. Twas brillig and the slythy toves and the mome raths outgrabe!
Why dont you just say what you mean. You wrote a complex hard to follow list of conspiratorial accusations. Why the weirdness. Just say what you want to say and stop trying to make it into a mystery novel.
What does IMHO stand for . "Is My Hearing aid On"?
Tommy owns a place where one eats, his job is to promote his business and people eating. Are you suggesting that he discourage his customers from eating. Maybe he should have a contest where customers see how far they can run or lifts weights. A Tommys runnathon where all the customers show up and run away and dont buy anything. Come on ! Really?
Good job Tommy, thanks for supporting Colusa .
To suggest that we simply do away with the city council is childlike thinking. It is the structure of our country. It is a system that works for the most part. There is no system that will please every individual. Just like every club or organization - the group act for the greater good. Your point about the Clerk and the Treasurer somehow misses the point. The clerk and the treasurer are now elected and have no oversight capabilities over the city council. So how does that help with oversight? The cities of Bell, Vallejo had very different challenges. Could those same things happen to Colusa? Sure they could. What happened to them could happen to any town or city and it has nothing to do with the Clerk or the Treasurer. As for the manager of Colusa . Just know that the law in California and the very complicated union system has made sure that we will always have a manager in Colusa. If the city was better off before you should roll in those memories because that is the long dead past.
The City Council is trying to stabilize the environment in our town. By making the City Clerk an appointment it allows a person to invest themselves into the job a stay awhile. We have had much turnover of the people who need to have stability and history for the town to thrive and be stable. Changing this position in this manor will be a step in the right direction. Ranting wildly on the Sun Heard website, while certainly your right, does not help anyone. Just once I would like to see some thoughtful positive ideas in place of pure ranting like a five year old child who wants his binkie.
Thank you to Tom and all the contributors for saving the 4th of July.
Letting the state park close would be a tragic mistake. It is an important part of the delicate economy of the City Of Colusa. Every piece is important. Fist is right the state park was a loser for the state. ( I think fist meant to say red in place of black) The state is losing over 100,000 a year out there. Labor is what was killing the state parks numbers. The city does not have the same costs. The cost for the city is less because we already have the structure to take care of parks. I know many are critical of the city's policies, but this park can provide work for city employees that can be charged to the project. The city cannot keep money as profit but it can provide work and pay it out to the employees. Good move Colusa.
Colusa does have bigger issues and you all have good points. You can make it easier for the divers if you set aside the cans for them. Win/Win.
