The Kings need to practice their free throws. I will give credit to the refs for this game. The Kings had 19 FTA to the Lakers 21. The difference is that the Lakers made 20 FT and the Kings made only 11. The Kings put in a good effort. One noticable aspect is that the refs took Cousins out of the game with 2 technicals. Bryant, Odom, and Brown on the Lakers always do damage for the the Kings. The Sacramento fans looked like they had fun.

Finally a game that the Kings can claim as a good win. The refs did not seem to be a factor in the game. Thornton is the King's leader. The Kings muscled their way to a win with confidence.

Wow. The post game comments have really slacked off. Hardly anyone comments anymore. Is anybody out there? Hello. The refs did it again. How can Sacramento get a win when the refs call 27 foul calls on the Kings and only 11 on the large market Houston, Texas team? That is double the calls. I saw one blatant call on Dalembert that was not even close. Tough game to watch.

I saw the last part of 4th quarter. Beno gave up the ball and looked like he was either tired or just played sloppy. Effort needs to be made to keep the ball under control.

If the refs are fair, then, there are certain things a basketball team needs to be good. I am not sure that is a guarantee in this league. The first thing a team needs is a good point guard to bring the ball down and pass. The second is to have a solid three-point shooter. The third is to have a center or power forward who can score in the paint. Do the Kings have any of these? All five players on the court need to play defense. If there is a good defender on the team, then purposely push the ball to the best defender. With the lowest paid roster in the league, I am not sure the Kings can get any better. Westphal is doing the best with the talent he has. Do young teams need an aggressive coach? I would say yes. Westphal seems to be a better coach with seasoned veterans; the 1993 Phoenix Suns with Charles Barkley and Danny Ainge.
