I was actually disappointed by this episode :-X I mean, it wasn't terrible, but there wasn't really anything amazing about it. It just sort of was. Sorry all.

But yes, Lindsay Sloane has that something about her :D

Speaking of Scrubs, while I'm rooting wholeheartedly for JD and Elliot, Stella was a big disappointment in this episode of HIMYM. I'm sure it'll be explained in the next episodes, and I have faith that the two of them won't end up together, but still... I think the high point of Stella and Ted was their first date (the quick one). Classic Ted. But leaving him at the alter puts her pretty low in my book.

JD, I know what you mean about watching it with someone. I was introduced to the show by watching a few episodes on a friend's computer with him, and that's how I introduced it to a good friend of mine, and she and I watch every new episode together. We make jokes relating to the show, understand all the callbacks, and just share the experience. It's become almost sacred to us. It's our thing.
Say what you want about living in a material world, but this show does what it does because everyone behind it (writers, actors, etc.) is top notch, and they deserve the props.

I have to say, I really liked the video. Say what you will about context; maybe clips from seasons past show the writers' foreshadowing...?

I thought it was hilarious that Ted called his employee retransition room a "nurturing womb", considering the drawing bore a slight resemblance to an actual womb... anybody else notice that?

I was kind of sad to find out that Laura Prepon had to play such a douche, but I think Karen helps partly explain why Ted is the way he is.

Actually, we do get just a bit of Bob Saget, aka Future Ted. After the scene at the house, as the gang is in the cab ride back:
"And so ended one of the strangest afternoons of our lives."

I've always thought Prepon was absolutely gorgeous; and now she's going to be on my favorite show?!? Oh boy, this just keeps getting better and better ^_^
