I don't think that the outcome turns very much on how many appearances Romney makes in this state or that. However, history shows that investment of other resources is often important in moving a few percentage points of the vote toward one candidate or another. But content is more important than the dollars spent. Romney has the problem of not having spent much if any money in Pennsylvania, and the problem that his ads are not as direct as they could be. He should be deploying effective ads like the one from 1988 that reminded voters of Mike Dukakis' blunder in furloughing Willie Horton. Instead he's running (here in Virginia) an idiotic commercial that touts nonsense about "reaching across the aisle." I don't want him reaching across any aisle to the socialists who would happily plunge a knife in his heart - and the Constitution - if they could. So I guess I agree with your fundamental point that inept campaign strategy on the part of the Romney team could produce a win for Obama. My hope is that overall the Romney team is better than that. And on balance I have to give them credit for closing strongly in several of the Midwestern primaries.

If Pennsylvania votes for Romney, he doesn't need Ohio, so I hope you are right.

Those other countries where the people supposedly do not approve of Mitt Romney (not that more than 1% of them would have any accurate information about him) will be the first to ask the US to come to their aid when they get into trouble.

As to voting only by "Americans," unfortunately, Somalis and other foreign nationals are being bussed to the "early voting" locations by the hundreds (if not thousands) by their Democrat "interpreters" (handlers) in Ohio. The Republicans have no one who speaks Somali, so there's no way to confirm that these people are citizens. It's highly doubtful that they ARE citizens, because knowledge of English is required for citizenship (with a few exceptions not relevant here).

Romney's family have always been faithful members of the mainstream LDS Church. They ended the practice of polygamy after the Church terminated it pursuant to revelation in 1890. In contrast, Warren Jeffs group is a tiny ragtag crew of dissenters who were thrown out of the legitimate LDS Church about a hundred years ago. Jeffs makes a pretense of prophetic powers but in reality he's more like a pious Mafia boss.

Polygamy was illegal in Mexico long before the Mormons arrived. However, the Mexican authorities appreciated the hard work of the Mormons to develop remote areas that had never been settled, and made no effort to mess with the Mormons' domestic relationships.

None of what you are predicting is accurate. Romney is not an advocate of open borders. He will have no power to dictate to the states any health care system. He understands that under the Tenth Amendment that will be none of his business as President -- nor the business of the Congress.

He is not in favor of cap and trade, and in any event no such scheme could possibly pass the House.

Accusing someone of lies is a weighty responsibility. If you are going to level that charge, you should supply specifics. I have seen zero lies from Mitt Romney about his service as governor of the very blue state of Massachusetts. He knew that his options were limited in light of the 87% liberal Dem. legislature, and so chose his battles carefully. The role of President of the entire nation is a different one, and he plans to execute it differently, except that in each case there was and is a critical need to balance the budget.

Your points about the insanity of "affirmative action" (euphemism for unconstitutional government-mandated racial & ethnic discrimination) are well taken. The descendants of the Mormon colonists who fled Mexico during the time of Pancho Villa theoretically could claim the status of "Hispanics" to secure a racial preference but so far as I know they do not do so. They typically like jalapeno peppers and retain other elements of Mexican acculturation, but they are Americans at heart and too proud to seek special favors from the government.

Don't beat up on Rob McKenna. He's in a lonely position as the only Republican to win statewide office in years in Washington. He's a courageous conservative who, for example, has been a leader in the fight to overturn Obamacare..

Seriously "little boys"? Not having been to Iraq or Afghanistan, I hadn't heard about this. Maybe the occasional adolescent, which is bad enough. But if pre-pubescent boys are routinely being violated one would think that that would create half a nation of mentally disturbed men as the victims grow up. But perhaps the point is provable: a nation that is so out of whack as to execute someone for embracing Christianity, as is set to happen any day now in Kabul, is surely off its collective rocker.

Does anyone else find that number -- "147,228 photos and videos" -- shocking? I had no idea that there even WERE anything like that many photos and videos of child porn (even broadly defined) in existence. Where is this coming from? Obviously those depicted in the videos are among the worst victims of this trade in sleaze. Who is in charge of tracking this corruption to its source? Eric Holder? If so, does he even care about the problem? Or is he only concerned about suing the state of Arizona?

This shot is rather weird - mainly the underwear. However, others in the set display Mr. Kroell's excellent manly chest to advantage, and cover him up where he should be covered. Chest hair like his is a work of God.
