Vlad: I think it is because in the past, some unscrupulous individuals would say one thing, were proven wrong, and then would alter their original posts to reflect the "new reality" and pretend they were right all along. Rob's policy has been (to my understanding) that when you make a mistake, you leave it the way it was and then note the correction. That way the original error or mistake is still on the record, and people can see that he's dealt honestly with it, as opposed to burying his mistakes as some were wont to do.

BTW, Dino, it's not called "studying", it's a question of reading one to two words. Here's a hint:
Rob Port = two words
Proof = one word

Feel free to print that out and tape it to your monitor. Better laminate it first, so the spittle doesn't cause the print to run!

Dino: I apologize for thinking you were a totally incompetent moron. It's not total. But, it's close enough that you can see it from here!

Just as an aside, I apologized, not for making a mistake, but on the outside chance that something I had written caused someone else to err. You apologize, not quickly, but after equivocating, spinning and weaving. I guess since it only took you a half an hour (twice your ADD limit) I should congratulate you on doing what you should have done as soon as your realized just what a stupid dorkwad you were. It's progress.
