Reason is that because in my opinion i love using it in the online game play and campaign. I love seeing when you chainsaw the enemy and you just see the the gold plated weapon going right through their chest! I usually pick up someone elses Golden Lancer, but knowing I'm just going to lose it the next round, I switch it out for a different weapon. It would be nice to have the Gold Lancer.
