MLK was NOT a violent man, and he would not condone what the OWS is about, as they are NOT about true social change for GOOD, but pushing 'their' agenda. They are anti capitalism, they ARE about a free ride. The US Park service was simply asked to 'relay the message' they were not being allowed to hold a press conference on private property, hoping that it got the point across quickly, and loudly: you will NOT use MKL's name for your purposes.
The King family has a very important image to protect, and not surprisingly, they do not want OWS or others, to defile what MLK did for all of America.

And someone that comes into my home to care for my children, intends to file for workmans compensation because they cut their say finger on a can opener? well that is going to cause another issue, now won't it? In fact, the reports of children being left home alone will probably start going up as well.
Way to go California.

nannies, and caregivers for children, persons with disabilities, and
the elderly, work in private households to care for the health,
safety, and well-being of the most important aspects of Californians'
lives: their families and homes.
Yes, it does include babysitters, caregivers for children is pretty specific. If you pay someone for a service they do in the above definition, IN your home, that makes them YOUR employee. AND it also makes clear that it does not matter how many hours they work, you - as the 'employer' MUST total ALL hours paid and pay in ALL taxes, workmans comp insurance, etc otherwise it is a misdemeanor.
The only allowance is for those under 18 years of age and grandparents, etc - THAT said, IF the person who is doing the sitting, gets injured, etc while IN the home, ON the job, they will have a right to file a complaint.

Collective bargaining is NOT a right. Because some union - left leaning legislature made it a law HOW many years ago, does NOT make it a right. They did so because the union said: we'll keep you guys in office IF you make sure we get union dues.
And for all that which the unions keep touting as facts - it's garbage. Wisconsin laws are FAR better than most in regards to employees (except that we are NOT a right to work state, and we should be - the only one that opposes that is the union. WHY is that ..) so quit your whining. The majority spoke. Stop listening to what they tell you to believe. Stand up, thinkk for yourself. Just because we aren't in the street screaming and making up signs that degrade ourselves as rational thinking human beings, doesnt mean we don't stand behind our governor. Because we do.

The State Security has to 'publish' the law for it to be in affect. Walker said to do it on Monday. The Security (Doug LaFollette - D) said that he is 'waiting' 10 days. We know WHY he is. There are many school districts and unions rushing to redo contracts that are expiring end of June and he knows that several lawsuits have been filed, so he claims that it would be best if they wait the full 10 days, thats what he 'always does'.
Until its published: it is not law. They tried to get an injunction today on it: didn't happen. We have a HUGE April 5 vote : Supreme Court as well as MKE County Exec - she is correct. This is not over yet.

I would ask that ALL that see this, spread it - and make sure to google for anything relating to boycotting Walker and our (R) senators and SUPPORT those businesses. Union thuggery at work here. They need to know that the 'common' folk (since we are apparently not good enough to be one of them and labeled middle class) DO read and we DONT like bullying. And Obama has his thugs running the recalls for our (R) senators because you know that's how they roll in Chicago politics.
Below is an email that Madison WI FF Local 311 sent to its members to explore starting a committee to cause more issues for those that don't 'think' like them, including ramifications of striking. Clearly this violates the law as it stands in Wisconsin, but more importantly, it proves that FF's that do this, as well as the officers in Madison (State Troopers were called into the Capitol to take care of the issues there since Madison cops refused to do their jobs - they are union after all, sending another message of WHY there should not be a public sector union.. but I digress) - do not care about human life, preferring to listen to the almighty union and scream for their rights. Never mind that the rest of Wisconsin has rights.

Subject: PRIVALEDGED UNION COMMUNICATIONS
Local 311 members,
Local 311 is looking for members to serve on three different Committees. The Committees are listed below. If you are interested in serving on any of the Committees, please e-mail (deleted) as soon as possible. We would like to schedule meeting dates starting possibly as soon as next week. Along with the participation on these commitees we would like all members to be ready and hopefully willing to assist these committees in helping them with the actions and assistance that may be needed in the near future.
Thank you.
Recall Elections Committee - This Committee will explore the logistics and assist others with the planning and infrastructure of running Recall Elections for certain Legislators, and to assist "labor friendly" legislators that are facing possible Recall Elections.
Job Actions Committee – Discuss and assemble a list of possible job actions. Also discuss the possible impact of such actions or that of a general strike.
Boycott Committee - This Committee would discuss sending questionnaires or calling on contributors to Walker's campaign asking whether they still support Walker's anti-labor agenda or whether they no longer support his over-stepping agenda. Compile a list of businesses who are Walker supporters that we, and other Unions, can use to boycott, and compile a list of "labor friendly" businesses.
Sincerely,
Local 311 sec./tres.

As of budget year closing June 2009, Wisconsin (under Doyle) was already 2.71 BILLION in the deficit and an article from a VERY left leaning Madison paper reported THAT fact in January 2010 - a FULL year before Walker took office. And the before mentioned deficit had gone up by 8.4% from the PREVIOUS year (see .. doesn't DO the union any good to talk about how Walker is in this to break the unions UNLESS they lie and say there was a surplus hence 'ooo Walker is creating a fake crisis to break us!) - SO WHY Walker is saying he is trying to avoid being at 3.6 BILLION deficit at the end of THIS budget year which ends in June 2011.
A simple google will help you find the article as well as the actual government docs online. I LIVE there, I KNOW.
NOW in regards to another comment you made, the people 'protesting' ? buses in. The majority are NOT from Madison or even from Wisconsin. There are websites galore where you can look for the pictures of the license plates, as well as what was on the sides of the buses. And as far as the FUGITIVE 14 - they know that the unions pay HEAVILY into their election coffers. So we KNOW why they left.
But since you are interested, while you are googling the before mentioned information, also look up how the lame duck session RAMMED through some more union concessions, knowing that Walker WAS coming into office and they KNEW the reality of it, but wanted to get that done sneakily.
Collective bargaining rights is another union mantra - I know, I used to spew it. And in order for Walker to effectively get a grip on OUR state issues (and quite honestly, I could care less if he layed off 10k - they SHOULD be going to their unions for refunds - that MONEY paid in SHOULD be there for TIME JUST LIKE THIS (and another reason why I despise unions, it's a money racket to them, and I've said this a million times at least: they SHOULD be forced to put that money INTO interest bearing accounts in the off chance, say: a state needs to find ways to make ends meet and needs to cut public spending including public employees wages, or other benefits. THAT money should be there - like an insurance. And honestly, I think if people wised up, they would see that the money is the ONLY reason the unions are in upheaval: they see their cash cows potentially drying up) - he needs to be able to CHANGE the contracts, but collective bargaining MUST be dropped before he can legally do that. It is a legal thing. AND the collective bargaining needs to be dropped before SMALLER towns, etc can balance THEIR budgets. Get it? I am NOT willing to pay for (nor could I afford it, so MORE people will walk from homes and the cycle will continue) if my city raises taxes again. We pay our teachers quite a lot and I was just informed via the school board that 20% of the teachers DID NO SHOW / call in sick - that list of bogus MD's will be used to go over them and unfortunately, we will be going through the MD's records - as allowed by law - to see if they were actually SEEN or if the MD is after the fact 'covering their asses' - its a violation. BUT another part of collective bargaining: we will have to pay them their sick pay DUE TO IT. HOW fair is that to stick to the tax payers? It truly is not.
And you - and others - do not need to take my word for anything. I just suggest NOT following many MSM news orators for your vital need to know information gathering. Its dangerous and puts you at risk in the long end, because one day you will see whats happening and say: but they said so!
and as a bonus note: Maddow was PROVEN FALSE in her on air claim that Wisconsin was operating in a surplus, just goes to show: careful where you get your talking points from AND your news. Yes, google that too.
and this is the guy that had to clean up Milwaukee after our last mayor as well (2002 - HUGE pension scandal, he made tough choices than, and got the city back towards hobbling along)

BUT that's just my take as a former Delphi employee whose job went to Mexico due to the HIGH LEGACY COSTS - never mind that the BO slashed the pensions but ALLOWED the UAW workers to keep their pensions.
yeah. Pretty much unions suck ya til your dried out, than move onto new victims.
