Tom: you are 100% correct. Why let the government use your money interest free for a year? Claim the highest deductions you can on your W-4. Be careful to save the difference in some manner though, so you don't owe taxes when April 15 roles around.

I have no desire to go to prison so, as an alternative to refusing to pay taxes, on your W-4 form claim a higher number of exemptions. that way the government doesn't get to use your money all year long and you have your money each payday instead of waiting for Uncle Sam to decide to send a little back to you.

Dick Cheney is correct. It is no skin off my nose, and doesn't affect my marriage. Each state should decide on its own, BUT, once decided, no court should be able to reverse that decision unless there are unquestionable, overt, discrimination issues.
