I was an LP activist for a long time, and I saw the sellout of the National LP to the Right coming years ago; it was finally consummated with the nomination of Barr. We now have no principled libertarian voice in national politics.

The Founders warned us, and we didn't listen. Hell, Eisenhower warned us and we said "military-industrial what? How about them Yankees?"

Without trying to pin down a definition of "troll," I'll just say that I know from experience that that little part of the mind that keeps most of us from caring whether we look like horseparts is, in his case, being used for something else. Perhaps it's part of his hyperbole generator, since there are actually non-Wiccan Pagans in Birmingham, and certainly non-fluffy ones as well.

When I was a member of <J. Random Zen Center>, they ran a very nice ethnic vegetarian kitchen. They did seem a little strong on the "health food" side, to the extent that I saw that the shopping list on the wall specified _fertilized_ eggs. I was forced to annotate it with "Why would you want to abort a chicken?"
