Here is my ideal Cesc transfer scenario (assuming we are not able to negotiate a 30-40m price for him this summer). We don't buy him this transfer season because Arsenal will give a fair price. I think this would work out best because: 1. He wants to come to Barca, if Arsenal does not sell him he will be unhappy with them. This will possibly affect his play, and certainly his attitude thus lowering his price over the course of the next season. Also he will get more playing time at Arsenal, allowing for more development. 2. This would give us a chance to test out JDS and Thiago. Let us find out their true class by giving them some first team appearences. 3. We honestly don't need him right now, we already have the best midfield in the world. The defensive midfielder position is vital to the way we play, a midfield of Cesc, Xavi and Iniesta would give us very little strength and ball-winning capabilities, this would be especially apparent in European competitions. I am disappointed Barcelona is out of the Copa Del Rey, but I am not disappointed in their play, they always stuck with attacking football and it culminated in the 4-0 win today. Abidal has been very impressive getting forward and also solid in defending. I am glad to see his hard work is not going unnoticed, he is leading the MoM award right now. Palop, wow what an commanding performance over these three games. It was due to him that Barca are out of the Copa. Happily we finally got some goals by him in the later part of today's game. We knew wonderful Barca could not win every trophy every time, and they kept their heads up and played hard against Sevilla in all three games.
