I came up on this accident on Highway 160, one mile out Gainesville heading west towards West Plains. Two adults and four children in the green camero. I saw life flight come in and the child loaded on the flight to Baxter in Mtn Home. I knew it was a fatality that should never have happened. An innocent child is dead because of irresponsibilty and driver distraction. How can you miss a big white new SUV turning in broad daylight and plow right into it's rear end at highway speed? It's terrible, it's senseless, it's irresposibility and it's tragic.
It could be an accident or medical.
So the state is throwing in a total of $7,350,000 as a bribe. States do this and wonder why they have budget problems. This comes out to $14,650 for every hire! Of course the liberal governor has to be there to take credit and use this opportunity for a photo op to further his career. I see it as a waste of state money. State income tax from the employees will take years to recoup this handout and by then, Expedia will pull out or close like many dot coms. Hey bozo Jay....if I start a business with 6 employees will you give me the equivalent of $87,900? We know that is a big NO!
I bet if Donnie and Marie wanted to play in the parking lot, the town would be all for it! Branson is noisey anyway in the summer, parking is always a hassle....that dog don't hunt~
Sorry, I was taught to wear white or bright clothes and walk on the side of the street facing traffic, do not wear dark clothes and walk down the middle of a frontage road at night! Unfortunately, it was an accident waiting to happen. I hope this tragedy shows the reason why walking safely and smartley is a life saver. Teach your children!!! I hope the driver and the family recover quickly from this needless accident. It's a terrible thing.
By what authority does a deputy from the Ozarks have in setting up a crime on line in the state of Conneticut? Regardless of the offense, again, by what authority can these hillbilly deputies cross county and state lines? Can't they fight crime at home in their own county or are they just wanting some attention?
