While I'll agree... I'm disappointed that this Batman story may only be a Trilogy. I was under the impression that - According to Nolan - we were very early in the Story of Batman and that there were many more villains to fight, characters to meet and stories to tell.

He spoke about Batman Begins as if he planned on making this a 5 movie long series that would end with Batman getting old enough to accept that he would need help from Robin to do the job. He's even said "Robin doesn't come till later".

We'll have to see I guess. I personally think this franchise has the potential to go 5-7 movies long.
