Where is the report on what "after-action" was taken? Such as FIRING of the WHOLE CREW!!! From Top to Bottom!! If you get caught rather than "admit" a problem you just "hide" the reports....Makes sense to me....! Tear it down, Brick by Brick!!!!

I agree! Ms. Bilmes hit it out of the park, as a START!! It is IMPOSSIBLE to FIX this problem without first making those involved LEGALLY ACCOUNTABLE! I am (We) held to a certain standard, to provide a "truthful" claim, to the best of my ability...However, my "adversary " is NOT held to any STANDARDS! Moral or Legal!

Manny, You did NOT ramble! You were hitting it out of the park....! What about seperating the "claims process" from the VA, ie contracting out? Why should each claim be "judged on it's meritts" rather than "like claims"...Presumtive I think is the word, they use..?
An "immediate increase" of 25% is GREAT, but what about 10%, for a start?

As a 17 year Postal Employee (Now Retired!) this "problem" is not limited to just the VA. This type of mentality, "NOT my responsibility!", is also prevalent in the Postal Service and I dare to say through out ALL Government Service. Illegle, imoral action(s) or lack of action(s) is unfortuantely regarded as the "norm", rather than punished! And when "punished" it is normally just a "transfer". Allowing the "guilty" to maintain their "pay grade" and/or retire with full honors! SHAMEFUL!!!

To have these individuals "pay back" the monies "improperly received" would not count for the "Advanced Education" that several received. You cannot "pay back" a degree! You can "re-imburse" the VA for all expenditures that you received. Those "doing (the) wrong" and those "receiving" should be indited, tried under the full force of the law!

" The country’s 46 million uninsured" rather than the "46 million uninsured Americans"! Is there really 46 million Americans without any health insurance? Are the "illegal" visitors being counted in this number?

I agree with your limit of two terms!

However, in Louisiana, we recentely voted in "Term Limits" and "they" are now trying to go from the State House to the Senate and visa versa!

I woud ADD Federal Judges to the List of "Term Limits"!

I would ADD ELIMINATION of ALL Retirement Pay for "Our Reps"!
