Of course I have people flaming me because I see what's going to happen in this. Good luck jailbreaking 3.1 since Apple is going to patch it. The D e v- t e a m was waiting for a more stable firmware and they were waiting for millions of other people from other countries to get the 3GS

So are we ok to upgrade to 3.1? I did purplera1n and got the IBEC and the IBSS files too. I just really want non-destructive video editing.

So will this jailbreak be like the 1.1.1-1.1.2 jailbreak? Where we have to jailbreak 3.1 and then to jailbreak 3.1.1 we have to update from the iPhone?

YOU DIDNT HAVE TO DONATE! If you donated money to save a cancer patient and he died anyway would you want your money back?

YOU DIDNT HAVE TO DONATE! If you donated money to save a cancer patient and he died anyway would you want your money back, or would you just be happy with the fact that you tried to help out? It's not like the Dev Team is never going to release it, they have just delayed it (which I dont exactly understand the reasoning). You are complaining about their choice of when to release their FREE service. If apple was giving out Free iPhones and then delayed it do to a security problem or something would you be mad?

"In the meantime, we have some remaining 3.0 jailbreak issues to investigate, including push notification. Thanks for being patient with us while we TOOK a 3GS “timeout”! " Does this mean they already took the timeout?

Just put in dfu mode (not restore mode). Then open system profiler and look for usb devices, then look for DFU device (or something like that) and then look for ECID, it will be after serial number. Then copy it and paste it into purplera1n . c o m , and save the file. Hold home and power until it reboots and then ur good to go...

You guys probably have other reasons for this but... I have 2 questions. 1. Didn't you say that the bootloader was impossible to fix through an update? 2. Since apple probably knows about the unlock on the 3G wont they already be upgrading the baseband to prevent it? 3. When 3.0.1 comes out wont you be telling people not to upgrade so they can still unlock? 4. Or, is 3.0.1 going to be out in the next 3 or 4 days and you dont want to have to make two releases in a week? Thanks for your hard work.
