Unfortunately, the antigunners would simply retort (like a broken record) that cars, axes (with a license), and bathtubs are "useful" and "guns only kill" and "only the police and military should have guns" (like in the USSR, Communist China, and Nazi Germany). Unless antigunners change their views on the basic concepts of freedom and liberty (that anyone should be able to do as s/he pleases as long as they do not harm others), they will always keep their smug assertions on weapons and weapon owners. They will never change, until it is too late.

Oh, yeah. That's why the only Civilization game I can truly enjoy is Alpha Centauri/Alien Crossfire. The game lacks the political correctness of the newer games and provides more choices on how I want to develop my colonies and military. For instance, I love equipping my civilian units with armor, giving them a fighting chance against those who despise my faction's way of life (sound familiar?). My dream game would be a Civilization game with slower time progression, incredibly detailed science/technology and strategies/tactics trees, and the realistic strategic combat from the Hearts of Iron series or the Supreme Ruler series.
