I have a theory about raising our power bill. 1st. pass a huge tax that would raise all of our power bill. 2nd. we cut back on our energy consuption to save money. 3rd. power companies start losing money 4th. they turn to the government for help 5th. BAM the government owns our power companies. I'm not normally a conspiracy theorist, but with everything that has happened in the past 6 months, it certianly seems possible.
Am I wrong to think that bankruptcy is the best possible solution for GM, Chrysler and Ford? Couldn't they then renegotiate those ridiculus union contracts? I heard a report that stated GM must pay the union people the gap between unemployement and their regular pay. They already pay union retirees 90% of their pay. Hello, there is not a company out there that can sustain paying employees that do not produce!!!

Let me say I believe the fair tax or the flat tax is a great idea. However, the fair tax can be manipulated also. They could choose what they want to tax. Such as they may decide not to tax food that is nutritious but tax candy. Maybe they decide not to tax autos that cost less than $15000. Either way you look at it it's class warfare. You see, anything can be perverted by a politician. We the people have got to get it through their heads they work for us. Tax day was a good start. We have got to be relentless in getting their attention and getting our message out.
If the iraqi leaders are concerend then maybe they should bear the cost of us being there.
just in case you missed it. Beck did an illustration explaining what a trillion dollars looks like. A billion dollar stack of $100 bills is about the size of a car. A trillion would be a walmart parking lot full.
if we got term limits imposed. then we could set goverment officials pay at 1.25 times that he/she was recieving at their job before being elected. no more lifetime benefits.
