I bet somewhere in those 1000 plus pages that there is a provision immunizing the federal government from lawsuits in the health care law. They would have to in order to stop the thousands of wrongful death lawsuits that will result when people have to wait for treatment or are denied care.
I wonder what the trial lawyers will do if they cannot sue for malpractice or negligence should the health care system be nationalized
It is frustrating to me that there are not thousands if not millions on the streets protesting Obama and his collectivist policies. The American people are simply sitting on their hands while their economic and personal liberties are being destroyed. Ronald Reagan said that the American people were slow to wrath, but few seem to be angry. But then we cant get anyone to take back the GOP from the faux conservatives and the RINOs. Once socialism takes root in America, it will never go away. The left can scare people by saying the conservatives and Republicans are going to take your health care away if you elect them.
Why are we as conservatives and Republicans taking all this horse squeeze from these people filing bogus ethics complaints? The conservative movement needs to man up and realize we are dealing with political street fighters. One way we can fight back is to dig up dirt on these liberal agitators and leftist media stooges. We can publish the informations on blogs and websites. That would be one way to nuke these progressive activists by destroying their reputations like they have tried to do with Sarah Palin, Joe the plumber and other conservative leaders. Palin should also sue these individuals for her legal costs. Before she leaves office, Palin should request that the attorney general take legal action against those filing frivolous charges to recover legal fees paid by the state.
A third party is not going to get enough votes to have major wins in congressional races. What really needs to be done is to take back the Republican party from the moderates and the go along to get along leaders. It needs to start from the local GOP party. We need to run candidates against the moderates and compromisers and take them down in the primaries. The Dems are in dire need of renewal too. The hard left has taken near complete control of the party apparatus. They will not stay in power for long with their extreme socialist views and they will become losers for years to come. The centrist and more conservative elements need to take back the Democrat Party.
The left in America and worldwide are not interested in the rule of law unless its their laws. It doesnt matter what a constitution, the people or a elected represenative body. To the totalitarian left, they are obstacles to their goals.
If the Honduran military truly were engaging in a military coup, it would be a general as head of state, not a civilian leader. Nor would their be new elections called. The military acted under orders of their Congress and then went back to their barracks and bases.

I think the credit card companies will figure a way out to get around the law and create some new junk fee. They pay big bucks for lawyers to analyze and find loopholes around legislation.
If the credit card companies try and take advantage of the time before the bill goes into effect by jacking interest rates, all they are going to do is create more defaults and chargeoffs.
If you should get hit with a rate increase, dont take it lying down. Get on the phone and demand supervisors. Go up the chain of command and dont take no for a answer. The card issuers cannot afford to have their call centers and their management tied up.
The best advice is to pay the cards off and get rid of them. That will get the attention of banks real fast if people in large numbers dump credit cards.
You can always go and trash the reputation of the credit card issuer. There are numerous comsumer boards on the Net that you can spread the word on this ripoff company. With so many banks financially weakened, they cannot afford negative information being spread on the internet
