Bernier is true to his neoconservative views. He was plucked from the Montreal Institute, a libertarian think-tank. If you go on Youtube and google Patrick Brown, there is a video of him saying the same things as Bernier. He is the Cons MP for Barrie.

In a sickenly condescending voice he tells us not to worry. Stephen Harper will never allow our economy to grow. He wants to remove our interfence in your life ... and whole bunch more bunkum. These guys are just touting party policy when they think no one is paying attention.

Remember that whole pesky government interference thing, involves scrapping public health care.

Are you kidding me? Harper inherited a thirteen billion dollar surplus and in less than three years dwindled it to nothing. In fact we were running a deficit before the recession hit. And the latest reports show that our economy has shrunk.

You might also take into consideration the fact that Jim Flaherty has made Canadian taxpayers the largest lender of sub-prime mortgages in the world. The Financial Post recently called Canada the Fanny Mae of the financial sector.

Investment firms are already sending out warning letters.

Flahery allowed AIG to bring high-risk mortages into the country and the banks made him buy them back. These guys are horrible money manages and they need to be given the boot.

I was at the one in Kingston and there were many families, and people from all age groups. Never saw any trendy oldies or May groupies.

There are videos and photos of the Calgary rally, and I believe it was about 250. That must be an awful big bus.

Senator Aaron Wherry. Dare you dream?

Last year's protests were because Harper lied about the democracy of a coalition. This year's protests are quite different. Yes we hit the streets, but the CAPP site that is still growing, and is accomplishing something else. With more than 18,000 links to stories, his muzzle on the media has been snapped in two.

There are a lot more comments by CP members against Harper, including several by Peter MacKay. In a leadership contest there will always be debate, but once the contest is over all stand behind their leader. That's how it's played.

Ignatieff is a very smart man who has spent a great deal of time in war torn countries. He visited Rwanda with the UN chief after the genocide and saw first hand the death and destruction in places like Kurdistan and Sarajevo.

He's seen inhumanity at it's worst and yet still believes in humanity. Stephen Harper won't scare him and the fact that the Tories are going down that road shows how desperate they are.

But turnabout's fair play so who knows. Maybe someone will show a few clips of MacKay going after Harper ... or Stockwell Day ... that leadership bid really got ugly with Harper accusing Kenney, Day and Vellacott of all sorts. It's poor politics.

The Conservatives have been launching national campaign ads for months, the Liberals are just getting started. The Cons are not the only ones with tapes and the opposition parties only need to show the ones that are relevant.

Let's not forget this one:

"Tony Clement painted Stephen Harper as a divisive, unelectable Conservative leader Wednesday in a televised debate notable for the absence of high-profile candidate Belinda Stronach.

Clement, the former Ontario health minister and acknowledged underdog in the three-way race, was clearly on the offensive against Harper. He suggested the former Canadian Alliance leader will be unable to unify Conservatives and draw Canadians outside the party to its fold."
