Tressel did know about A.J.'s ability to run a fake punt! In fact there are 2 occasions that I (hazily) recall us running such a play. Granted one of those times was in a spring football game.

It was reported several years ago on theozone.net and bucknuts.com that AJ Trapasso was a former running back in high school and was perfectly capable of running a wicked fake punt. Tressel was even quoted on the subject.

It is unfair to Tressel to claim that he didn't know about this. He knew full well about it. However, it may be fair to ask why we didn't run it more often. Considering Tressel's usual conservative nature, I'm not terribly surprised by it.
