The thing with this film that needs to be remembered is not so much Connery or Lambert, but the brilliant villian portrayed by Clancy Brown, who would want to meet the Kurgan down a dark alleyway, really? Add to that the passionate Queen and the late great Michael Kamens music score, weaving around each other beautifully. Its these elements and more that have, like Star Wars, let todays audience ignore the kitchy elements and just enjoy a good fun sci-fi flick
